This entry is in response to my brothers (been growing up together since, forever... so he is definetly family) latest blog entry. http://jeremybiggers.blogspot.com The topic at hand is that women don't really want a good man... I must say that I'm in agreeance with him. After all of these years trying to walk the righteous path, constantly trying to progress in life and helping out whereever I can... I've come to the realization that what women say and mean is sometimes far from what their heart desires and bodies yearn for. The Renaissance Man that women once dreamed of is now filled with syrup sipping, cloudy red-eyed, tattoed up, young men who let their pants dangled at their knees with tall tees (that still have the red and black sticker on them) to cover their 5 day old boxers. However thier dental hygiene is up to par, simply because they want to keep the gold shining...
Now one would easily take my comments as hating... Not the case at all... I'm from the Great State of Texas, riding foriegn, sitting in my slab, crawling like a crab, bumping DJ Screw, chunking the duece and hollering "What it do!" with eveybody else. HOWEVER! I will not subject myself to acting like I don't have any sense.
Anyway... on to the women. I shall quickly digress from the topic since Jeremy posted what needed to be said on his blog... BUT I raise this question: What is it that you find so appealing about that image? And why is the era of the "nice guy Renaissance, artistic, cultured, well traveled man, out of your vision?
Oh... forgot about my introduction... My name is Arif... fashion designer, architect, graphic/ web designer, poet, painter, multimedia design... artist in every sense of the word... signature clothing line is in the making.. this seasons them is "Superman: Tough-guy Stance" and for the women.. I've got C'est Chic (that's French for "That's high style").. oh yeah... one of my goals is to know sign language, spanish and french by the time I'm 24.. I'm 22 now. lol. i know i am not that much older than yall, but i think your age is showing with these generalizations.
la_jcain, you are not the only lady that feels that way. as a matter of fact, i wouldn't even call someone who is female that likes these men a lady. they dont carry themselves like a lady. they dont expect more from a man like a lady should. and quite frankly, if they need to be seen with a man of this lowly caliber, that automatically labels them a hoodrat, not a lady. lol
and arif, just like i have never settled for this proverbial thug, i advise you to never settle for a woman who wants this proverbial thug. she's too young minded for someone of your worth :)
